Notes - William's roots are unclear. There are internet trees with his birth as 1741 but no location or evidence for this. The most probable on the internet, given his marriage date and his children is 1747 at St Mary, Earlham, Norwich, son of William WOLNER and Sarah. However, it is not obvious why he would move to a fishing port like Great Yarmouth, nor does he name any of children Sarah. So it is not definite.
There is also Edward WOOLNER and Anne (WRIGHT) in Great Yarmouth around the same time. They married 1777 and had Edmund (1779-1794), Martha (1783), James (1787) and probably others. I wonder if they are brothers, but if they are there is even less evidence on their birth and parents.
