  • Notes 
    • At the baptism of his son, Robert, in 1784, he is noted as a pauper. If the vicar had recorded this earlier, doubtless this would have been noted against all the children.

      Many internet trees have his birth in 1743, for which I can find no evidence. Clearly his age may be wrong at death, so 1741 is not certain either.
