    • There is no obvious Sarah who married Richard Potts. The closest I can find is in Cheadle (Sarah SMAIL), 2/8/1821, 12 miles away, and crucially it says that both come from Cheadle. Whilst it is clearly possible it seems very unlikely. So I am still looking.....

      William and Ann POTTS, both aged 0, were buried 11 and 12 March 1830. Not obvious if these are part of this family or not.

    • He is described as a farmer at the marriage, but the other details match up, so this is believed to be the right marriage. The previous record is also of a farmer, so maybe this is it, perhaps it sounded better than the labourer he probably was....
