    • There is no obvious Sarah who married Richard Potts. The closest I can find is in Cheadle (Sarah SMAIL), 2/8/1821, 12 miles away, and crucially it says that both come from Cheadle. Whilst it is clearly possible it seems very unlikely. So I am still looking.....

      William and Ann POTTS, both aged 0, were buried 11 and 12 March 1830. Not obvious if these are part of this family or not.

    • The marriage is almost certainly the correct details, hence it is included. William gives Richard's occupation as ?Corn - factor??? but then it implies that he is also father to William's bride, so maybe not too much care has been taken with this. Richard had died 8 years earlier, and maybe the professions were suffiiciently similar. Likewise this is the only place where Hannah is Hannah Latham ROBINSON, but one of the witnesses is her sister Sarah Ann. There does not appear to be any consistent alternative for Hannah, and certainly nothing that implies Latham as a middle name - clearly something important as their son has Latham as a middle name

    • The death info is a possibility, but I have not found him in the 1901 Census.

      Alternatively there is a William POTTS, buried at Prestbury 22/4/1897, living in West Gorton, Manchester. Hannah was living in Manchester when she was buried at Prestbury in 1899, so this might be right, but none of the rate books or electoral rolls line up with this.
