  According to the Todmorton and District News of 31/7/1903 he "went to America and died at Alton, in the state of Illinois". There is a marriage between William Fielding Hartley and Annie COLLINGS on 4 May 1902, which I assume is not him, as he would probably have been too old then to travel. There is also a marriage entry for Q1 1907 for a William Fielding Hartley. HARTLEY is a common name here and it is not clear whether the people in the search results are relevant or not.
