Notes - Assuming she was baptised as an infant, this means she was 14 when her daughter Joan was baptised, which seems unlikely but possible. Alternatively she was say 3 when she was baptised, but Joan was still born out of wedlock, and not sure how this would be taken in terms of recording on the register. It may also be that Joan is not her daughter but that of a different Arthur and Joan, though this also sounds unlikely.
Since writing this, I have discovered a tree that has a different Joan for Joan's mother, somebody who is stated to die in 1722 but there is no obvious evidence for this.
In terms of her birth, the 1708 baptism sounds most likely, but 1705 (Jane WESTERWAY) in S Tawton is also a possibility - and Jane then at some stage became Joan.....
