  Notes	In the baptism of Hannah in 1800, it describes Israel and Ellen living at "Clough in Wad". Wad is assumed to be Wadsworth. Whilst some of the records describe the occupation of the father, I do not think there is such an occupation, rather it means, particularly near the Pennines a "steep sided ravine". So presumably this is where they lived, and therefore he is a labourer rather than have a skilled occupation.

• Notes

  The burial date, which gives his approximate birth, is the only sensible one I can find on the internet; and is at least reasonable, and likely definite. The 1841 Census entry has him as a male servant, rather than the more prestigious (?) cotton spinner, but it is possible that age meant he had to undertake more menial work. In addition the head is Joseph HODGSON - not a family name that I have found thus far, but could be a son. His age is given as "25", so it means that he was born 1811 to 1815.
