    • Possibly marries William McKENDRICK in 1900...I can find no independent evidence for this. All of the later data is based on the fact that she does marry William. The gravestone and 1901 Census are at any rate consistent with the story, and there are likely to be few Janet Lockie's from West Linton, born around 1860 who marry William McKendrick.
