• Notes

  Lots of internet sites say he died at Carnwath, but I can find no evidence for this. He appears on a family gravestone at Carnwath, but the last data item in 1871 says he was living at Dunsyre, about 6 miles from Carnwath. I am unsure why he would move to Carnwath at his age.
