• Notes

  The 1939 Register shows that she married HYSLOP, which is consistent with family recollections. The only relevant marriage is Q1 1946, Alston, Cumberland. She was on the electoral roll in 2009 at "The Bield", the Lane, Whittingham, Northumberland, and it is likely that is where she died, but there is nothing definite. However, confusingly, the Obituary Index says her maiden name was Whittingham - presumably this is a typo and meant to say location.
