Notes - 1911 Census says married 34 years, which does not tally. However, it does match Catherine's first marriage, and is a question aimed at the wife.
In the 1881 Census where William says he is a widower. Noting that his child William was born 24 Jan 1881, and the census was 3 Apr 1881, the only burial I can find of a female Davies is that of Jane on 2nd Mar, aged 24, whose address is given as Glan Dulyn which is good. There are several marriages between a William Davies/Davis and a Jane between say 1877 and 1880, and it is not obvious how to decide which is ours. Looking at the surnames of all William Davies registered Q1 1881, the only possible ones are OWEN and JONES. There is a marriage between William Davies and Catherine Owen in Q4 1876, which is unlikely. So the most likely is a marriage with Jane JONES, Q4 1878 in Ffestiniog.
1911 Census says 13 children of whom 3 died. This looks like 3 missing ones 1883-1888? Also a nephew Francis Arthur DIXON, b1905 Chester
