Notes - The family story is that he fought at the Battle of Trafalgar as a "Sailor with Battle Axe for boarding vessels". I have found no evidence to support this, but it is clearly not impossible.
The Chelsea Pensioners Discharge Documents say that a Thomas Lockie served in the Dragoons from 25/2/1807 to 1/7/1812. Napoleonic records say he enlisted 23/2/1807 as a Private in the 2nd Dragoons.
