Notes - The only other record that I have found with his birth location comes from the 1901 Census, which says "Fowlis, Perthshire". Fowlis Wester in Perthshire seems a long way from the other places, but Fowlis, or Fowlis Easter is the region where Muirloch is. Although the Muirloch reference is later than the Census, it seems more likely, as it is unlikely to be imagination for somewhere so small. And the "Perthshire" in the Census record is probably a handwriting error or a transcription error.
He travelled to New York with his mother, leaving Glasgow 1/10/1910 (occupation Miner, but Gardener when he arrives), heading for Deerfield, Mass, where the other family members live.
He is single on the 1917 registration card, but married on the 1942 registration card.
