• Notes

  The 1939 Register has him living with Winifred M FROST, and also there is Rose KING (a widow) there. This implies that she is his mother in law, and this means he married Q3 1929 in Wandsworth. He appears in electoral rolls in 1921 (with his mother only) in Clapham, then Epsom 1934, (wife is Winifred Maude), 1937, 1939. In 1945 only Winifred is there, but he may still be fighting. There is no obvious death records in the war ... the only obvious records point to him in the Royal Artilillary, but there is no definitive evidence of either of them after 1945.
