Notes - There were 2 probate grants, an initial one in 1878 just after his death and then again in 1885, when it seems that Charles's wife, Matilda Ann (who later married John BURKE), did not finish (or maybe not even start) administering the estate. So Joseph MELLOR, grandfather to children (and thus father of Matilda) was granted probate.
