• Notes

  I believe he is variously Robert Charles (at birth), and Charles Robert (at marriage) and sometimes just Charles. He has two baptism dates, but I believe it is one person, two baptisms as there is no record of a death and the census info is consistent with a single child. The second baptism also has his sister, so it seems possible that there was confusion as to whether Robert was baptised or not, and was baptised (again). The best match on death (indeed the only match) is 1880. The facts for this make sense, so I assume that the 1881 Census is incorrect (presumably Charlotte gave his details and they were entered without him being present)
