Notes - Choirmaster at Kinclaven United Presbyterian Church. He was presented with a special box in 30/11/1888 for his services as choirmaster and conductor. He was also presented with a Bible in 1877 for a similar reason. (from family sources).
According to http://www.scotlandschurchestrust.org.uk/church/kinclaven-church, Kinclaven church was built 1848 on site of previous church. Mixed Romanesque and Tudor with a narthex at the west end and bellcote at the east end. Churchyard contains the war memorial lychgate 1919 by Reginald Fairlie, and some table tombs of the 17th century and later. Built into the churchyard wall is the monument to Alexander Cabel (Campbell), Bishop of Brechin 1608.
