• Notes

  Marries James ROGER 1836 at Kinclaven. The 1861 Census is given as "Arntully" in the transcripts, however this is likely to be an error and so has been recorded as "Airntully". Janet was murdered, and the details were sufficiently shocking (or maybe curious) that it was picked up by newspapers all over the country, including London.
