Notes - The marriage in Madderty is the only possible marriage. However it is nearly 20 miles from Kinclaven where Andrew came from and where the children were born. So it is assumed that Janet was born in or near Madderty, and was working near Kinclaven when she met Andrew.
If this is the case, then of the possible baptisms, Fowlis Wester is the closest to Madderty of those at around the right time (based on the 1841 Census), and this has been chosen as it is closest in age. It cannot be said to be certain, but seems the most likely and the tree has been built on that.
