  he served in the South African Constabulary in 1901-1902. on 6 Feb 1920, he was initiated into the Freemason Grand Lodge in Johannesburg as an "Ambulance Organiser" He wrote a book about First Aid, published by the Red Cross in South Africa in 1926 There is a Mr A M (probably, first letter looks like G, but it could be A based on the other writing) Anderson who sails to Cape Town from Southampton 16/7/1937, aged 55, who gives his last address in the UK as 12, Warwick Sq, Carlisle.
