  I think the baptism information may be confused with the apparently elder brother William. There is no obvious burial record for the "other" William, and if he had died, he must have been quite old to be baptised in Dec 1783, when this William was born in Jan 1784. However it must be stressed that the birth date is based on his baptism aged 3y 5m, so there is plenty of opportunity for transcription errors.
