[5] Notes - Hubert's name features in the Land Tax assessment of 1827 for the Crown Inn, "Longcotts, Wareham". I have found it difficult to locate Longcotts, let alone the pub. Longcotts would seem to be in the Winfrith/Wool/Lulworth area, but this is unclear.
Another random internet search turned up the name of Samuel COX (note their grandaughter's name) as a victualler in April 1768 in Longcotts (see http://burgesses.info/burgess_dorset/payne_and_militia.html).
