    Notes
    • The Leek Times of Sat 19th Oct 1889 gives a very detailed account of the wedding, with lists of guests and wedding presents. The article notes that Thomas was working in Leek before he moved to Paisley. They had their honeymoon in Ayrshire.

    • On 31/1/1916 he signed up in the Territorial Force. His address at the time was 248, Stockport Road, Leavenshulme, Manchester, in the 10th (Scottish) Bn., The Kings (Liverpool Regiment). He got a wound in his knee, somewhere on the Western Front either 28 or 30/9/16, having only joined the regiment in the field on 27/9/16.

He was taken prisoner in WW1. Details unclear, but it may have been on 30/11/1917. He was reported missing on 9/12/17 and officially accepted as a POW on 25/1/18 at Dulmen camp.

      He was formally discharged 31/1/19

He probably married Evelyn REDFERN Q4, 1924, Chorlton, and then Bessie BOAM Q2, 1945, Blackpool.
