• Notes

  It is not clear what happens to Emily after 1911. She might have separated from Henry, as she is not in his will, but very clearly dies after him. However she kept her name. The 1939 Register seems the most likely; the location is close to the Thornton Heath addresses of the family, but there is no obvious connection to the householder. The birth date is very consistent with the baptism, and so the record is accepted.
