There is a very extensive Naval career, details attached. He is sometimes known as Rear Admiral WV Juniper of Kensington. More details in a separate document, but summary of his naval career as follows:-
On 15 Jan 1891, he is noted as “addl for change of R????? S????”. On 1 Oct 1891 he transfers to the Victory.
On 19 Apr 1895, he is promoted from Engineer to Chief Engineer
On 2 Apr 1899, he is promoted to Staff Engineer (Engineer Commander according to the Navy List of 1907)
On 1 Apr 1912, he is promoted to Engineer Captain
On 28 Nov 1916 he is promoted to Engineer Rear Admiral.
He was made CB in an announcement dated 27 June 1919 - “For valuable services in the 8th and 6th Battle Squadrons, at the Dardanelles, and on the staff of the Commander-in-Chief, Nore
