Notes - Much of what is here for William and his ancestry is definitely speculative. But key is that his marriage to Martha states his father is Henry. So this is based on the only Henry that I can find - who married Virtue (slightly strangely, she is in Corfe Castle, though the IGI info has her baptised in Lulworth; so maybe she was working in Corfe, albeit it is a long way away). One site on the internet says they were cousins.
There is also another William VEY who married Maria COCHRAN in 1811 and clearly some of the possible children come from that marriage. I have taken the approach that those who have Mary rather than Maria as a mother are those of this William and Mary marriage.
Note also that although I cannot find William in the 1841 Census, there is Jane and Mary at Alverstoke (near Gosport), so it is likely that William was at sea?

Also see the following typical data from the internet, some of which is definitely incorrect.
