Notes - He was killed in action while a 2/Lt in the 7th Btn, The Royal Fusiliers, and remembered at the Arras memorial. He was promoted to 2/Lt just before his death.
The University College (London) roll of war dead says this :- "killed in action by a sniper during a bombing raid near Gavrelle". Gavrelle was the site of the battle of Arras from 9/4/1917 to 16/5/1917.
